*All About Me*

My name is Alyssa Cundy and I am 24 years old. I am married to Landon Cundy, whom is the love of my life and my very best friend! We got married on June 23, 2007. Landon works at Discovery Ranch, which is a residential treatment center for at-risk youth. Landon has some pretty awesome hobbies in which I love so much. He loves to do yardwork, remodel, shop (shh..don't tell him I told you), play golf, and hang out with me :). My hobbies are baking, cooking, shopping, tanning (I know, I know - it's not healthy - but I will continue to do it anyway!), BLOGGING, watch football, stressing (hey, I'm pretty good at it), working out when I get ambitious, and I like to play tennis but am horrible at it, like to watch Landon golf, and love to play with my little puppy and hang out with the hubs.

isn't he handsome??

We have one child, a little yorkie named Tank. Seriously, it is just like having a kid. My clean house gets cluttered with toys in .2 seconds and as much as I try to put them away they are back out before I even know it. Oh, and back when the little guy was teething or whatever it is dogs do - NOT OK. Seriously. He would chew through the baseboards and everything else he could get his little teeth on. Not to mention we would find his teeth EVERYWHERE. Weirdest thing ever. But now the little guy is 3 1/2 years old and we love him to death! Probably the most spoiled puppy ever. Like - he has his own room! haha.

Yes, he wears clothes, too. He even has a Vikings football jersey! SO CUTE!

Me and my little family live in Springville, Utah. About 2 1/2 years ago we bought my husband's grandma's house. We LOVE it. My mother-in-law and her brother and sisters grew up here and there is just so much history and memories for all of their sweet family. We love remodeling, so of course we remodeled our whole upstairs. We have yet to remodel the downstairs because we are currently just renting it out. We don't need that much space right now, and plus they help pay like half of the mortgage. SCORE!

I work at Heritage Schools, Inc. in Provo, Utah and absolutely LOVE it! I think I have the best job in the world! Heritage is a non-profit residential treatment center for at-risk teens. I am the director of food services and literally get to pick and choose the meals, snacks, and of course DESSERTS! I have been in the restaurant/food service business since I was 17. When I was 17, I worked at the Country Market Restaurant and then went to the Cookery restaurant - both owned by Flying J but in different locations. We refer to the restaurants at "the J". There I started as a cashier, then became a server, and then finally a manager. At 21, I decided it was time for me to move on, so that was when I came to Heritage - and there I will remain for the rest of my life! There is so much freedom and creativity that I can use in my menus and I have the best staff that help me along the way! I love being able to see a recipe and say - hmmm...that would be perfect to make at work - and then I can actually make it at work! So yeah - my job is my life and I love Love LOVE it!

Now, I'll go back a little bit. I was born in Nephi, Utah and I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. Both sides of my parents families are from Nephi, so that is truly my roots. There was a year or two in there when I lived in Idaho, but other than that I lived in Nephi until I was 11 years old. Then I moved to Springville. There I went to middle, junior and high school. Besides a little 1 year break when I was in college, I have lived in Springville ever since. Now, the moving story does not end there. I lived in Nephi for about 9 years, Idaho for maybe 2 and Springville for about 13 years, but in total I have moved I think 21 times in my lifetime. No, I am not kidding. Needless to say I HATE moving! I have lived in my current house for 2 1/2 yrs. and I think that is a record. A record that I hope to keep topping :).

Anyway, after high school I went to Utah Valley University - however back then it was Utah Valley State College. That makes me sound old - "back then" haha! There I completed 2 years and I majored in Business Management with an emphasis on Marketing. I am currently one class away from my Associates degree, but I just cannot get myself to take that art class. I am just not that artistic. Now, if I could take a cooking class - especially a baking class - and they considered that art - sign me up! However, I don't currently have any plans to go back. Although I really should officially get that Associates degree. Hmmm....oh well.

I guess now I will talk about some of my friends. My very best friend, of course, is Landon. He knows me better than anyone and we even finish each others sentences sometimes. When we were dating we actually didn't have that much in common from the music we listened liked to how we grew up, but we truly are perfect for each other and we have become more alike through the years.

haha now THAT is a great picture! Lookin good honey!

My second best friend is Ashley Jane Frey. LOVE her! It is strange to think that even just 6 months ago we only saw each other about once or twice a YEAR! That is crazy talk! We now have made an effort to meet up once a week for a coffee date so that we can catch up and stay current with each others lives. No more twice a year nonsense. Ashley and I met at "the J" when I was 17 and have been friends ever since. I lived with her and two other girls when I lived in Provo for a year - and yes, we are still friends! We had some pretty good times back in the day...

This is the most recent picture of Ashley and I at my little sister's baby shower! We're nerds.

My third best friend is my little sister, Shea. We have become closer over the years and now we talk on a weekly basis. However, if I didn't call her to check in I don't think that I would talk to her ever. The girl thinks she is too busy to call me :). Oh well. She recently got married back in January (I think..) and she now has a little bundle of joy, Xander. He was born on  June 21, 2011. Cutest little guy ever! Shea is 3 years younger than me, and even though we are quite opposite, we really get along pretty well. She has the cutest personality and laughs at pretty much everything. I am not lying. Her nickname when she was little was "giggles". For instance, when she was having her baby she got induced and when they broke her water she was laughing. Typical Shea. I LOVE YOU SISTER!

Here is a recent picture of Shea and I when she was still prego.

and here is little baby Xander - with one UGG boot on :)

Now, last but not least, my fourth best friend is my mother-in-law, Judy. I cannot imagine not getting along with my in-laws because I LOVE their family so much, especially Judy. Judy is the nicest most caring person I have ever met. She truly cares about everyone and has the biggest heart of anyone I know. And we are so much alike. All the time Landon is telling me that I remind him of his mom. But hey-they say you marry someone just like your mom and it's true. He did. I consider it a compliment, because she is truly such an awesome lady. I could only hope to be half of the woman that she is. She is amazing. I love you, Judy!

Well, that is pretty much me. If you have made it this far and are still reading - I am impressed! Thanks for getting to know me :).
